Meet sweet little Arianna Rose. Like her name, she is absolutely beautiful. She is full of surprises, too…Arianna thought it would be fun to surprise her parents by entering the world a month early! At just 2 weeks old, this little angel is 6 lbs 13 oz, and 100% pure joy and sweetness.
I swear I don’t usually torture my clients…ok, maybe just a little bit. : ) I have been carting around this bowl trying to find a newborn subject that could fit in it, and Arianna fit the bill! Not sure she enjoyed it as much as I did, but pretty cool that she fit in it!
An apple for the teacher, Arianna’s mommy, Mirissa! : )So, I never really got to enjoy having a teeeeeeeny weeeeeny baby, since my boys were born with a full set of teeth and carrying backpacks. Ok, I’m kidding. But they were both over 8 pounds and kind of hefty as newborns. It was so much fun to shoot such a wee babe!
If you have seen some of my other newborn shoots, you know that I have an obsession with baby toes. Who doesn’t, really? : ) I really love this shot, the silhouette of her little fingers and toes…really captures that “newborn” vibe.
And that sweet peach fuzz that only newborns can make look good…what a beauty!
I have to laugh when I look at the next photo…I purchased this ruffle diaper cover, and I asked the woman who made it to please make it for me in the smallest, teensy-weensy newborn size that she possibly could. And still, Arianna is swimming in it! I love how little she is!
All bundled up in her cocoon and elf hat, Arianna snuggled up in one of my baskets and struck a pose.
I was telling Arianna’s daddy, Josh, that my parents have the same rocking chair that they had in their bedroom. He began to tell me that it was the same chair that he was rocked in as a baby. Immediately, I knew we had to get a shot of Arianna laying on it as the afternoon sunlight poured in the window. Love it.
Thank you so much, Mirissa and Josh, for inviting me into your home to take Arianna’s first photos. She is an angel in more ways than one, and she is very blessed to have you both as parents. Enjoy every minute of these early weeks…they go by much too quickly!
