Wedding season has officially begun! “Love is in the air, everywhere I look around…” doo-be-doo-be-dooooo… 😉
Those of you that know me well know that I was a little hesitant to expand my photography business in the wedding arena. I mean, it’s a little scary, no? The pressure of capturing the single most important day in a couple’s life together. The fact that I would be single-handedly responsible (with the help of a second shooter if I’m lucky) for the memories that will be going into their wedding album, a family heirloom, passed down from one generation to the next. I am friendly with lots of wedding photographers, and I see the photos of the blisters from being on their feet for 12 hours. The facebook status updates saying that they are getting “post-wedding massages” to “recover”. And some that even ramp up their workouts just prior to wedding season, just to be able to keep up with the events of the day, one weekend after the next! You see why it’s a little intimidating…maybe? It makes my current child portraiture business look like…well, child’s play! 🙂
BUT, I am happy to say that I am jumping in with both feet, throwing my insecurities to the side and giving it a try. I’m SO excited to begin this venture, and I feel so blessed to have all of you encouraging and supporting me along the way.
